Interacting with friends

To get the best from the app it is better to sign in with your Facebook account to add all your Facebook friends at once, this way you will get all the updates and interact with your friends easily. If you are not on Facebook you can connect with your mail contacts or add friends directly from the app itself.

Personalized bookshelves

In the app you can arrange your books into shelves for ease of access and tidiness, there are 3 main shelves in the app:

• Read.
• Currently reading.
• Want to read.

In addition to main shelves, the user can create his own shelves to organize his books the way he wants.

Book suggestions

One of the greatest things about Goodreads is that you could find your next favorite book because of the customized book suggestions called Recommendations. Besides the automated suggestions by the app algorithm, your friends can also suggest books for you.

Exploring Books

You can also find new books in the app through the Explore option, where you can search for books, view books by their genre or check the available lists composed by the app such as best books of the month.

Rating and reviewing books

Every book has its own page where you can read what others have said about it, you can also contribute by rating and leaving your own review.
