SUMo

Suppose you want to know if the software installed on your system is updated to the latest version, how will you do it? Checking each software and comparing the version to the latest version of the official website takes a lot of time and is not a practical solution to your problem! For this reason, you need SUMo. It will analyze your system, automatically compare the version with the latest available version and report the results.

SUMo will classify the results into three types:

1. OK, which means the software is up to date.
2. Minor, which means that there is a patch or a small update to the software.
3. Major, which means the software has a new version available.

Each of the above types has a descriptive icon that will appear in the list next to the software name.

How to use SUMo

Well, SUMo is super easy to use it does not require any explanation! But, for the sake of completeness, let's see how to use it in the following steps:

1. After the installation is complete, you will need to perform a system-wide scan for the installed software. You can perform the scan at any time by selecting File => Find installed software, by clicking the Scan icon in the main window or by simply pressing the F6 key on the keyboard.
2. The next step is to check the version of the programs and compare them to the latest available version. To do this, select File => Check, click the Check icon in the main window or press the F5 key on the keyboard.
3. The last step is to update programs that require an update. To do this, you can double-click on the program name or right-click on it and choose to Get Update. These two options will take you to the KC Softwares website where you will be presented with update options.
