I've played for years, but I uninstall on occasion and refuse to play for months b/c of how variable it can be when you're playing on the same difficulty level, from enemy number to intensity of fighting to weakness of your units. Worse still, the battles often start so far away from your territory you have no chance. I've restarted more than a dozen times in a row, and it drives me mad how the odds are just stacked against you to the point where you only have a chance of winning less than 1/12

Even though some of the features are hidden in the base game (passively forcing you to get premium) there are no ads that I've come across. The game's mechanics feel and plays like plague inc, but the game itself is very unique and well designed. James, if you're reading this, Thank you, You've done good by me. I hope to see more come of this game, like more interactive combat and combat animations. If it makes the game file bigger, so be it. I'd rather have a phenomenal game than excess memory!

Mostly fun, but a large amount of the content is behind a paywall. Like their other game, plague inc., you can unlock this content by playing the game on hard. But unlike plague inc. this game has such a steep difficulty on brutal that i cant help but feel it was intentionally made nearly unbeatable to incentivize purchasing instead of unlocking content. You can enjoy this game for free, but despite being unlockable on paper, beyond a certain point you are required to spend money to progress.
