Free Pascal is not just a compiler but a complete IDE for software development with the Pascal programming language. It comes with a built-in text editor, a debugger, and many tools to help you develop software.

FPC supports many CPU architectures and the user can cross-compile the code for any of the supported architectures by changing the target from Compile ==> Target, then selecting the desired architecture.

The IDE includes a debugger and many tools to facilitate software development.

Supported operating systems include Linux, FreeBSD, Haiku, Mac OS X/iOS/iPhoneSimulator/Darwin, DOS (16 and 32 bit), Win32, Win64, WinCE, OS/2, MorphOS, Nintendo GBA, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, Android, AIX and AROS. Additionally, support for the Motorola 68k architecture is available in the development versions.
