Although this emulator has all the basic functionality to run applications and games on a PC, it lacks some features compared to other similar software such as Nox, MEmu and LDPlayer. Some of the missing features we noticed are:

  1. Sharing files between the host OS and the emulator is not possible.
  2. The lack of a video recording tool.
  3. The user can't control the CPU and RAM usage.
  4. The user can't change the Android version.

For those reasons we recommend using one of the apps mentioned before if you want a full featured emulator, but in case you are looking for a simple emulator to run or play games only then LeapDroid is for you.

How to take screenshots

To take screenshots, simply click on the camera icon to the right of the emulator user interface, as shown in the figure below.

The captured images are saved on the desktop of the host operating system.

How to map virtual buttons to the keyboard

Virtual on-screen buttons are accessed by clicking on the keyboard icon on the right side of the emulator user interface as it appears on the picture below, then choose the type of button patterns you need then place it on the required location, the final step is to click the keyboard to complete the mapping.

Associating a virtual button on the screen with the keyboard facilitates the use of applications, and in particular, games, because they require the person to simultaneously click on several locations on the screen. There are different types of patterns to choose from, but compared to other emulators they are limited.
