How to use Genymotion

Before you download and install Genymotion, you must install Virtualbox because it is necessary to run Genymotion. The next step is to download and install Genymotion. Just click Next and finish, launch it, then you will be prompted to create an account as it appears in the image below.

After login, choose the Personal use option to use the software for free.

Then, the main window will show up with a list of devices, you can choose any of the devices you like, it will take time to download the template. As it appears in the figure below we selected HTC Evo 4G LTE.

The user has control over many variables on the template, such as:

Screen size.
Android version.
The number of CPU cores.
RAM usage.
Other parameters such as network connectivity, default keyboard and more.

When the download is complete, the selected template appears in the list (My Installed Devices) at the top of the main window. You can start the device by double-clicking it.

Screenshots and Video recording

There is an option to capture the screen by theCapture button on the right side of the emulator or by clicking Ctrl+4 on the keyboard, you will get three options:

Screenshot, to make still images.
Screencast, to record videos.
Browse files, to open the media folder.
